i can’t believe it. the long annoying  options period is now over. feels kind of surreal. it barely started!

which brings me to my next point, that options has made time pass so quickly that i had barely enough time to study for chinese.

yes i’m complaining. yet again.

well anyway, i just realised that blogging is a quite a gd way to destress, it just takes away your thoughts from your mind just for a moment. so you temporarily stop worrying, stop stressing, stop chionging. oh yes, and i’m now going to list down the fun things i’ll do after chinese Os. thats also a gd way of destressing. Not that i’m actually stressed now,… in fact i’m feeling rather happy and peaceful for some weird reason. on the other hand, i do think i’m abit stressed. whoever said emotions arent complicated.  anw.. here’s the list!! :D

1) cycling with xiaomin and lin (and zanthe? but you better learn first k! haha)

2) shopping dates with clique

3) movies

4) cca batch outing!

5) lin wanted to go to the zoo… so its a possibility

6) lots more..but i’m getting sick of this listing out… so byeeeeeeeeeeeee

CHINESE Os

October 25, 2009

I just realised. blogging can get quite addictive.

anw, i’m back again to rant about certain things.

Firstly, to make things clear, i like studying for chinese. But its the things that get in the way that irritate me. Firstly, it was the long options, that were full of presentations, hmk, assignments. Thankfully this coming week is the last wk of options, so i’m very happy.  Secondly, not only is the school not preparing us sufficiently for chinese, it doesnt even seem to care about our welfare. RGS 130 anniversary ARTS FEST. BIG DEAL. why can’t they just let the sec3s do the basking? we need time to study! And also, is it even necessary? I know it’ll be fun and all in the end, but right now, i’m only concerned with the exam.

I’m getting quite worried for chinese. I have chunks to memorise. And even if i memorise all of it succesfully, I’m not sure i’ll even get to use it. Based on the past year papers, all the topics weren’t even the hot topics. Last year’s was about taxi drivers stopping at random places?! how am i going to use all the wonderful phrases on perseverance, attitude, materialism..

ok going to study chinese now.

yesterday was the sec4 farewell. and quite honestly, i feel abit bad for the juniors who turned up but dint seem to have any fun at all. D:

oh wells. its a sec4 farewell anw, so the sec4s did have fun, and thats all that matters right? (:

me, dorcas, jiayun, yuxi and huining went cycling together. and i had sooo much fun cycling. I LOVE CYCLING!! <3 <3 <3 unfortunately, jiayun and huining were very slow haha, and dorcas didn’t rly like cycling. :(   We stopped by the beach to camwhore. Took quite alot of pictures. Tried jump shots but all failed… then we went to tampines mall to have lunch. Ate at swensens. Yay!

Its quite heartening to realise that our batch is rather bonded. Taking into consideration the fact that cca was only once a week, and we don’t have competitions like sports cca to bond us, we are rly rly bonded. Dorcas suggested a batch outing to escape/wildwidlwet. :D

CCA REFLECTIONS

Now that cca is officially ended. i.e. i have nth more to do with artclub anymore. I’m feeling very relieved and satisfied. Even though it doesnt seem like being the chair of artclub is any big deal and neither isit very stressful, I could always feel the responsibility on my shoulders every time i step into artclub for cca. Perhaps its because I’m not a natural leader, so being the leader of artclub is sth that goes against my grain. Esp at the start of the year, I felt the position was so burdensome.. but then as the year progressed, I kinda managed to sink into the position.. and also thanks to all my wonderful batch mates ( JIAYUN! DORCAS! JIAXUAN! GRACE! HUINING! YUXI! AND MORE!), there were always people I could count on. And of coz, special thanks to dorcas, our very reliable and responsible vice chair (: AND also to jiayun, my bestest artclub buddy since sec1 whom i could share everything with. (:  The mural painting was great too (on hindsight), even though we dreaded those long tiring saturdays.  And this is where i compliment dorcas again haha.. she was so persevering and completed the momkey and other creatures that i dared not even start on.  and and and… not forgetting our wonderful cca teachers-mrs lai, ms tong and mr wong. Esp mrs lai, who was always so calm and cool and on task. Mr wong sometimes got on my nerves when he displayed some tardiness with regards to the cca award nominations, but still! (:

2009 REFLECTIONS

I will reflect on the year in a more indepth way after chinese Os, but for now, i just wanna say that the year has been stressful, but I managed to pull through and am having so much fun now., :D

PROM 09

This is sth i like to talk about haha. Coz its rly fun walking around with my friends and scouring the malls for nice stuff. Anw, I’ve alr bought my dress, heels and clutch. 10cm heels, i’m not sure i’ll be able to walk properly and not have any aches and pains. :/ hmm… i said i like to talk bout prom, but i think i dun rly have much to say… so on to the next reflection!

OKAYYYYYYYYY I think i’m quite sick of reflections alr. SO i’m just going to end off with this:

RIDDLES

October 18, 2009

last night my bro slept in my room. And he told me some riddles he read off the internet. Found it quite interesting, so here they are:

1) There was a king who knew he was close to his death. He wanted to choose a son to take over his palace, but he couldn’t choose between his two sons. He told his sons, “Okay sons, I want you to take your horses, ride them down to the bridge, and race back”. The sons were excited; they knew their horse was the fastest. But the king told them that their horse had to be the last one back to get the palace. The sons were confused, and left. When they got to the bridge, they were arguing about who should go first. Then, an old man hobbled up and asked what was wrong. The princes told him what the kind had said, and the old man said, “I have an idea”. He whispered in the princes’ ears, and both of them jumped on the horses and took off toward the castle. What did the old man tell the princes to make them race back like that?

2) Romeo and Juliet are found dead in a small room. The window was open, there was an overturned bowl and water was spilled on the floor. There wasn’t anything else in the room. How did they die?

hinthint: they suffocated to death.

3) What’s black when you buy it, red when u use it, grey when u throw it away.

4) The seller does not want this, the buyer does not use this, the person who uses this does not know he’s using this. what is this?

post checking of papers

October 17, 2009

I’m quite happy with my marks even tho its not that good. But I managed to barely scrape the next grade for many of the subjects, so i can say i 赚了!

History was the worst. I knew I crapped alot for the essay question, and i thot MAYBE i could get away with it. But of coz i didnt. The teacher wrote at the back ‘u don’t seem to be quite sure about your points..’ yeahhh okayy i know.

Actually there were quite some surprises during the getting back of the papers. Subjects that i thot i flunked, I actually didn’t. And those i thought i didn’t, I did. And of coz not forgetting the joke of the year: Math PPA 4.

My chinese marks were very reassuring for me. 69%. I know it isnt great, but its awesome and unbelievable to me. After working alot alot harder for chinese this year, I got like 70% for the first test, but that was coz the chunks of standard yet impressive  phrases I memorised suited the topic so perfectly. And subsequently about 65%s? And I was quite worried that my chinese efforts could only work that once when the paper is to the liking of my memorised stuff. So when this recent paper WASN’T, I got panicky and all…. yeah so the fact that i got 69% makes me more confident of the Os. But having said that, I’m starting to feel abit apprehensive again.. :/

AND chemistry. My efforts paid off. (: even though the paper was like super easy, I did better than most people so thats another confidence booster.

AND then, there’s Xiaomin who just rips you of all self-pride.
